Dr Putnam (she/her) is a mental health-focused family physician with an emphasis on non-judgemental care and inclusivity. She is happy to see youth and young adult patients who have had, or are questioning whether they have, ADHD or anxiety.
Patients need to be referred to Dr Putnam by their family physician, who must be willing to continue to be their primary doctor for ongoing care. Dr Putnam’s role is as a consultant only. She sees patients for an initial consultation and usually 2 follow up visits to develop a plan for optimizing mental health management. More complex patients would be better served by being referred by their family doctor to a pediatrician or psychiatrist.
Dr Putnam is NOT a psychologist and does not do psychoeducational testing. However, she is happy to work with therapists who are seeing her patients and believes strongly in the importance of collaborative health care.
